We are excited to announce we are a meeting town for RAGBRAI 2024! We are lining up some yummy lunch vendors, fun entertainment, and are excited to welcome 20,000 cyclists to our Downtown District!

The Routes

Vendors

1 - HyVee will be grilling up the classics - ribeye sandwiches, hamburgers, and hot dogs
2 -  Keep it fresh with fruit, freeze pops, and drinks from Albia Rotary Club
3 - Cool off and recharge with gourmet protein ice pops from Albia Tea Parlor
4 - MiTierra will be mobile for the day and set up serving tacos, quesadillas, and burritos
5 -  The Coffee Grounds is teaming up with Louies Lakeside Bistro & BBQ to offer their signature iced coffees, baked goods, and grilled sandwiches
6 - Amos Dean's - Good Greens has all Iowa staples - slow-smoked brisket sandwiches, biscuits & gravy, and elote-style sweet corn
7 - Kuhn's Bakery will have homemade pie and ice cream
8 - Support our local Booster Club and grab a drink, frozen candy bar, or pickle
9 - Thelma's Treats will be here with their famous ice cream sandwiches
10 - Try thai chicken from Leaf Grill
11 - More coffee to fuel your ride from Thinkwell Coffee!
12 - Local business Down Home Creations will have cold sandwiches, their famous rolled ice cream, and pie!
13 - Smoothie Revolution is making the trip from Florida to serve up fresh fruit smoothies!
14 - Spice things up with a taco, burrito, or quesadilla from Taco Express!
15 - The Iowa Primehouse will have philly cheesesteaks, steak sandwiches, and burgers!
16 - Say cheeeese with your signature mac & cheese bowl from Kaaswagen!
17 - Cosby's US Cellular of Albia will have mobile charging and hot spot stations
18 - Community member, Jen Hess, will have trail mix cookies, lemonade, and a super cool backdrop for you to snap a picture in front of!
19 - The Albia Eagle's Club will be open serving cold beer plus all your favorites on the grill!
20 -  Albia First Christian Church will be open serving a pulled pork sandwich meal - but we hear the pie is what you need to try!

Entertainment

• Welcome Home Soldier Tours
  Albia is proud to be home to the Welcome Home Soldier Memorial, a
  breathtaking sight that honors military from all generations and walks of life. There
  will be shuttles running from Event Central to Welcome Home Soldier every 30 minutes.
  Volunteers will be present to give tours and answer questions
  you may have about the monument. This is a must see at this stop, make sure
  to schedule extra time for your trip!
• Entertainment Booths
  RAGBRAI isn't the only event Albia hosts! We are home to many unique events year-round, and you'll be able to catch a glimpse of these at the entertainment booths on the south side of Event Central. Feel nostalgia at the mini Rodders Car Show, held in June. Saddle up and see what the Albia Chamber Main Street Rodeo is all about, held the first weekend of June. Step back in time at the Victorian Village and see how our town will transform during the Victorian Stroll held the first weekend of December.
• Live Music
  Local band J-A-M will perform from 10:30-12
  Local musician, Paul Hatfield, will perform from 12-1:30
• Photo Ops
  Event Central is located in our Historical Downtown District...you'll want to snap a pic! There are also some hidden photo ops shown on the Downtown map above. Make sure to commerorate your trip to Albia with lots of selfies and snaps!
• Historic Walking Tour
  While you're walking around Event Central, you will notice all of the beautiful, historic buildings around our square! You can learn more about them by downloading the Monroe County, Iowa Tours app - click here to download for Apple Users or Android Users.

Volunteers

We have so many volunteer opportunities! From helping set up, day-of duties, and more...we need your help! We will be flexible with shifts and duties! Please contact Ella Zaputil at office@albiachambermainstreet.org or call our office at 641.932.5108 if interested!

There will be a mandatory volunteer training - available sessions Tuesday, July 16, 6 PM or Wednesday, July 17, 12 PM.

Merchandise

T-Shirt sales have now ended, but if you ordered one they should be on the way to your front door... just in time for the event!

Albia RAGBRAI stickers will be available at the information booth on event day.

Albia slap koozies will be available for purchase at the beer tent on event day.
