Afternoon Tea at the Albia Tea Parlor - SOLD OUT
2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. 
This social event of the season will include live music by Harpist Rachel Greene, a review of tea and etiquette with dainty sandwiches, savories, and sweets. Rachel Greene, harpist will provide lively background music during the tea. Victorian costumes are welcome, but not required. 

Reservations are required for this event. Limited tickets are available, purchase yours today for $25 per person!


Train Rescue Puppet Show
4:00 p.m.
Shelly's Train Rescue Puppet Show by Eulenspiegal Puppets at King Opera House. This show tells the story of the Iowa youth who, in 1881, lived the train from plunging to a watery death. Performed by puppeteer Stephanie Vallez, this exciting tale unfolds in the pages of two pop-up books peopled with paper puppets, masks, rod marionettes, and fun, low-tech special effects.

  • Luminaries light your way as you stroll the square to view LIVE Christmas Card Scenes in over 30 storefronts
  • FREE roasted chestnuts
  • Mitchell's Kettle Corn
  • Horse-drawn carriage rides to view 30 beautifully lit buildings around the square listed on the National Register of Historic Places
  • Civil War Encampment presented by 1861 to 1865 Civil War Reenactments, 3rd Iowa, Company C, Light Artillery
  • Authentic Blacksmith Steve O'Grady demonstrates hot and cold forging on an anvil
  • Hospitality Centers with beverages, homemade cookies, and live music at the Courthouse, 1st Iowa State Bank, and Peoples State Bank
