The Victorian Stroll is one of Albia’s most beloved traditions, bringing neighbors and visitors together to kick off the holiday season. Mark your calendar for the first Saturday of December and join us for music, lights, shopping, and timeless holiday cheer.

Albia’s Victorian Stroll is a cherished holiday tradition that brings our community together for a day full of festive charm and historic beauty. Each year features a blend of beloved annual activities—like live christmas card windows, carriage rides, live entertainment, holiday shopping, and classic Victorian décor—sprinkled with new experiences that keep the event fresh, engaging, and exciting for all who attend. The Stroll offers something for every age and interest, making it one of Albia’s most anticipated celebrations of the season.

Speaker at The Branch, inside The Mustard Seed on S Main Street (Map #19)  Joe lives off-grid in rural Iowa and composes his unique chant-like oral poetry to fascinated audiences around the world.

Treats and Vintage Crafts Await You

You are invited to the Albia Tea Parlor (map #1).  Enjoy creating a garland of hand spun wool or other Seasonal Craft.  No experience required.  Fun begins in the Parlor furnished with an eclectic mix of Victorian era furnishings; cuiosities & art.  Guests can order from Special Tea & Treat menu served 10-3.  Additional Fee for Seasonal Crafts $5, Age 12+  Purchase tickets online at albiateaparlor.com

Lighting of Rudolph's Nose

Come enjoy the lighting of Rudolph's nose at Santa's House! Would you like to do the honor of lighting Santa's nose? Enter the coloring contest for a chance to win! (Map #16)

  • Civil War Encampment presented by 1861 to 1865 Civil War Reenactments, 3rd Iowa, Company C, Light Artillery (Map #13)
  • Authentic Blacksmith Steve O'Grady demonstrates hot and cold forging on an anvil and Heath Thomsen creates metal art (Map #14)
  • Hospitality Centers with beverages, homemade cookies, and live music at the Courthouse, 1st Iowa State Bank (Map #3), and Peoples State Bank (Map #15)
